FAQ

Where are you located?
My office is located in coastal Oceanside, California.
If I don’t live nearby, can I still work with you?
Absolutely! My practice is primarily remote, and I have clients all around the world.
What are your hours?

I generally see clients from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday-Friday.

I start a little earlier and end a little later some days and occasionally will work weekends.

How long is a session?
Sessions are one hour.
Are you accepting new clients?
Yes! I am.
How can I set up a session?

Give me a call!

I offer new clients a free consultation call to see if we’re a good fit.

If we decide to work together, we can schedule your first session from there.

Do you have a cancellation policy?
Yes. I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for all cancellations.
Who do you work with? Men? Women? What age?
I work with everyone! I work primarily with women in their 30’s and 40’s but have male clients and younger and older people, as well.
What happens in a session?
Each session looks a little different! I generally integrate talking, movement, compassionate touch, sound, and Expressive Arts.
Do clients receive assignments between sessions?

I am happy to offer “assignments” between sessions if that feels supportive!

It’s important to me for you to feel supported and build resiliency even when we’re not in session.

Are you a licensed therapist?

No. I am not a licensed therapist. I work under the life coach umbrella. I’m a Somatic Experiencing™ Practitioner and offer work that many clients find healing, empowering and helpful.

Clients find working with me to be very supportive. Often, they tell me they are surprised to experience a new way to heal that they hadn’t known was possible. I often work with clients who also have a licensed therapist. I am happy to offer referrals to therapists. Because I am not a therapist I may not be the best fit for everyone. There will be areas that are outside of my scope of practice. I have a wonderful referral network for licensed psychotherapists in the area as well as through the country.

So, does that mean you’re not trained?

I have years of training and consider myself a lifelong learner! But I am not trained as a therapist.

I have been trained in Expressive Arts, Nature Based Healing, Somatic Experiencing, Compassionate touch, and Attachment Healing. I have three full years of Somatic Experiencing training. I also receive supervision weekly.

Can you provide referrals for other therapists, body workers, etc., if we work together?

I do! One of my superpowers is being a connector. I know quite a few top-notch local therapists, psychiatrists, healers, acupuncturists, body workers, etc., that I can suggest when working together!

It takes a village. If you’re already working with a psychologist or psychiatrist, I’m also happy to connect with them (with your written consent), so we can collaborate and support your healing journey even more!

What is your favorite part of being a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner?

I love getting to know each client and support them in the healing journey!

It’s an honor to have the opportunity to support you through all the phases of the healing journey.
